UBC currently has a number of resources available for individuals who have been sexually assaulted, or for individuals who wish to support others who have been sexually assaulted. These resources reflect UBC’s current services and supports, not those recommended in the proposed policy.
It is important to know that each survivor of sexual assault has their own personal experience, emotions and ways of coping. There is no right or wrong way for a survivor to feel or react following a sexual assault.
